Canada has now reached five NORCECA Final Six finals and won none of them. The fifth ended on Saturday night in Ponce, where the United States won 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-21).

It is a fourth consecutive title for the Americans, at the Juan "Pachín" Vicéns Auditorium, four days after the same two teams played the best match of the tournament.

Canada took the third set to 21 on Saturday and never got closer than that, and the first two sets were decided by ten points and by seven.

Jacob Pasteur scored 14 points for the Americans on ten attacks, three aces and a block, and Sean Kelly scored 12 with four blocks among them.

Arthur Szwarc led Canada with 12 points, eleven of them attacks. The two Americans NORCECA named between them outscored Canada's best by fourteen, and neither needed a fifth set to do it.

The two had already produced the tournament's best match on 25 August, when Canada won the first two sets 25-17 and 25-22 and the United States took the last three, 25-21, 25-19 and 15-11.

The Americans finished pool play 5-0 and swept Puerto Rico in their semifinal. They have won this tournament in 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026, and NORCECA counts four golds and two bronzes for them across its history.

United States head coach William Reid Priddy, in NORCECA's account of the gold medal match.

It feels great. These guys improved every single day. We knew Canada would apply a lot of pressure from the service line. I'm very proud of the guys.

Canada head coach David Preston, in the same account.

It has been a really tough tournament for us. Today we simply didn't have enough left to face what the United States brought.

Canada led the United States by two sets in Ponce this week and finished the week without beating them once. Nobody else has won this tournament since 2023.
